"Island Time" -- my Mom and Dad learned all too quickly the meaning of "island time." This refers to the fact that once you're in the Caribbean, you never know what time things will be happening, regardless of any sort of itinerary. Oddly enough, their flight to Nevis from St. Maarten was actually EARLY. I was scheduled to pick them up at 7:05pm, yet they landed at 6:20pm -- and because they didn't know my "physical address," they were told they couldn't enter the country! Once that fiasco was taken care of, we got settled into the condo, and then we headed out to the famous Double Deuce restaurant for some dinner and drinks. Like a true 'Miller boy,' it was only a matter of 20 minutes or so before my dad was chatting it up with a cute young blonde from Liverpool. It wasn't until a few days later that my mom evened the score over at St. Kitts by finding her 'island guy' (St. Kitt's pics will follow shortly). We spent a few hours hanging out at the condo after dinner before I went back out to meet up with some classmates for an end-of-the-semester celebration at Sunshine's.
